We are excited to announce that during the month of March, musician Terry Boyarsky will be our Ohio Arts Council Artist-in-Residence at Kennedy Heights Arts Center. In a four-week community residency, Terry will be leading groups of adults and youth in choral singing - culminating in a intergenerational public performance. Our goal is to bring together diverse residents of all faiths to join voices in song. After all, what's a better way to build community than singing together? To kick-off the residency, Terry and her music partner Oleg Kruglyakov will perform on Sunday, March 6th at 2:00pm here at the Arts Center. This will be an opportunity to meet Terry, experience her music and learn more about the residency. We invite you to participate in one of several groups that will be meeting weekly with Terry throughout the month. Using our natural instruments - the body and the voice - we will play with rhythm, song, dance, world music, rounds and toning, and perform a varied repertoire of music that reflects and embraces our many cultures. ALL are encouraged to participate - you do not need to have any music experience! |
